-

-
Has Little Raskals established health screening and safety measures for students & staff at the center? The Staff performs a daily health check upon arriving at the center each morning. The health check helps affirm that their child is well and able to participate fully in daily activities. Rigorous health and safety practices are a foundation of the way we care for children. these include: Frequent cleaning and disinfecting of high-touch surfaces and toys; frequent laundering of soft items Strict handwashing and sanitary policies to prevent the spread of illnesses. Regular maintenance of the center, equipment, and supplies, updating and replacing items as needed. Secure entrance to the facility. The Center has a health & Safety Manual approved periodically by the Department of Mental Health and Hygiene.
-
Does Little Raskals perform background checks on its employees? The safety of the children in our care is our highest concern. Each prospective employee must undergo a rigorous background check, performed by the Department of Mental Health & Hygiene. The due diligence includes a criminal record search and a cross-reference check to determine prior convictions or other records of criminal activity that would call into question an employee’s’ suitability to care for children.
-
Are all staff trained in CPR and First Aid?All employees are trained in CPR and First Aid. Once an employee is hired, they are required to fulfill 15 hours of training, as mandated by the Department of Mental Health & Hygiene for the City of New York.
